New Pastor Will Be Announced

Jo Ann Fuller

​Treasurer

Jo Ann was recently appointed to the role of Treasurer at New Covenant Christian Church after joining the church in 2022. She graduated from Murray State University in western Kentucky with an accounting degree, and subsequently attained CPA certification. She spent the last years of her career at Alabama Farmers Cooperative in Decatur, AL, and retired in 2019 from the role of Corporate Accounting Officer. After retirement, Jo Ann and her husband, Jerry, moved to Chesapeake to be near their son and his family. They have one child and one grandchild.

Laura Stewart

Administrative Assistant

Raised in a “Navy Family” in Chesapeake, Virginia, Laura Stewart graduated from Deep Creek High School and attended Tidewater Community College. She has recently retired from the Navy Exchange Service Command after 23 years of service as an Assistant Buyer. Prior to that, Laura worked as a Store Manager for Peoples Drug Store, Office Manager for Hills Department Store, and a Bank Teller for First Virginia Bank. Laura and her husband Scott have resided in Portsmouth since 1985. Laura has been in the position of Administrative Assistant here at New Covenant Christian Church since August of 2024.
